invercloy
Here are some pics and videos of a line local to me in Kent. If you're in the area it's well worth a visit. Two of the rather attractive balcony coaches. My favourite loco on the line, Victory a Decauville 0-4-2T A banked train rounding the sharp curve up to the main complex at Warren Wood. Limpopo, the rather chunky Fowler. Work in progress. Lady Joan, quarry Hunslet 0-4-0ST Katie and the ex-South Tynedale Rly Hudswell Clark diesel. Work in progress no.2 Armistice, Bagnall 0-4-0ST outside the rather impressive shed. This should give you an idea of the slope leading up to the Warren Wood! RMweb Premium zarniwhoop Posted October 12, 2009 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 12, 2009 Nice pics. My own aren't as good, and I wasn't going to announce any of them until I'd finished processing them (on a good day, I can manipulate 6 in an hour, but at the moment I'm lucky to do 2 in an hour). But since you've started a topic for this, mine are at my NG fotopic site. Particular thanks for the videos, at last something on youtube is working for me. [ I build my own desktop systems, derived from linuxfromscratch and I had most of youtube working, until last week -s'pose I ought to resurrect the linux thread in wheeltappers & shunters. ] ??en
invercloy
Nice pics, Ken! Will have to look in more detail at some of your other stuff too. I've got another video of a whole run from Stony Shaw to Warren Wood, will try and get that on YouTube soon and will update this thread. Was it you who once posted on NGRM about a 009 layout set at Lochdubh? If so, hows it going?

Was it you who once posted on NGRM about a 009 layout set at Lochdubh? If so, hows it going? Thanks for the comment. Yes, it was me. In terms of stock construction, I've done absolutely nothing since I last posted on it. For the layout, I've got a few more ideas, but it isn't high on my list. But I've got a bit more fake history for it! Current working title is the 'Strathdubh Railway', and would you believe it was intended to reach Lochdubh along the valley (I haven't seen any maps of Lochdubh, I hope this isn't a non-starter), after crossing over/through the hills. Construction started at the main line, but after it had reached the coastal settlement of Ballantrae the developers realised that the cost of construction to Lochdubh would not be recouped. So, yet another railway that didn't go where it was supposed. ??en
