Charity Street Collection - story

I don't know if many of you get these sealed charity bags?

The procedure being they collect them ( full or empty) on a set date.

 

I normally dump them but on this occasion I had a good rake out and managed to fill three bags

with stuff I don't want.

 

Rather than leave them on the pavement and risk bogus collectors picking them up

I left the empty bag outside my door with an envelope sticking out ...saying..

"3 bags for collection inside: ring doorbell"...

 

Well: you've guessed it.

 

The van arrived and bypassed me. It's possible they never saw the message,

but as it was in plain view, ten feet from the front gate.

 

The upshot of this; was the stuff got dumped in the nearest council bin.

 

 

 

In future; I'll stick to charity beginning at home.
