AberdeenBill
Hi all, This is transferreed from the Prototype Discussion thread, Can somebody please identify the NPCCS vehicle seen on the "Set No. 716" page (no page numbers) of Southern Coaches in Colour by Michael Welch. It somewhat resembles the LNWR CCT seen at Carlisle in 1964, but with the rather major difference of no end doors but distinctive end windows. Many thanks, Bill
Nick Holliday
Given the location and the fact that the London Brighton & South Coast Railway built a number of 6 wheel NPCS (CCT's mainly) with a high roof profile I suspect it is one of these, which has been converted for departmental use with the ends being altered to suit, but I must admit I cannot find a diagram which exactly matches this example. Poor Old Bruce
Have not got the picture to look at but I will make the comment that the LNWR did build 6w Milk Vans in the same style as the CCTs. The Milk Vans would not have end doors.
