Michael Delamar Posted January 12, 2012 Share Posted January 12, 2012 hi guys i have a new Bachmann sound fitted peak, i believe these have a v4 chip? i had it reblown by howes as i didnt like the original sound and it worked ok for a few minutes then i got some stalling and high pitched noises and motor chattering noises. it turns out the long legs from the resistor and capacitor on the motor where shorting on the cast chassis block, but i still didnt have any sound, it did have life in the motor and lights until i reassembled it then i got nothing. i now i have no lights or motor running, even on normal dc the motor wont run via the main board, is this a sign that the chip has gone or could it be something on the main circuit board as i have the loco completley dismantled down to the electronic board as its easier to handle and a few wires where snapping easily. many thanks Mike Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
