mozzer models Posted April 20, 2013 Author Share Posted April 20, 2013 Today i have made a start on the Langley L&B 2-4-2 loco LYN I clean up the molding marks with a file then the castings got a Burnish with a Suede brush ( the type you use on Suede shoes which i picked up Cheep on Ebay) 1st off i solded the footplate/ Cylinders casting to the tank/ boiler casting using a 25 wot iron & 70 degree solder 001 by Mozzer models, on Flickr then i added all the parts that stick up from the boiler plus the tank fillers 002 by Mozzer models, on Flickr 003 by Mozzer models, on Flickr Next i foled & solded the front cow catcher 004 by Mozzer models, on Flickr & then solded to the footplate 005 by Mozzer models, on Flickr 006 by Mozzer models, on Flickr Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

mozzer models Posted April 21, 2013 Author Share Posted April 21, 2013 Today i have finish soldering the last parts to the body & started the chassie with the chassie I have got as far as i can till i put it all together after the body is painted again its all drying after a good wash the lamp casting has a white metel pin cast which will just snap so i have replaced this with 0.7 brass wire & once i have added cail into the bunker i will drill a hole so it can be used at both ends of the Loco Photos later Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

mozzer models Posted June 27, 2013 Author Share Posted June 27, 2013 on with the signal today & here is a update as i have a brake with a cup of Coffee 1st job is to make a Jig with 2 holes it it one the size of the signal post & the other the size of the bottem of the cast base Once i had done that i solded the casting to the etch base 001 by Mozzer models, on Flickr then folded uo the deck & steps 002 by Mozzer models, on Flickr Having folded up the etch that holds the bracing i then solded the bracing to the deck & signal post I also solded the post to the cast base 003 by Mozzer models, on Flickr Then i removed the etching that was not needed on the bracing 004 by Mozzer models, on Flickr & here is a photo showing were i am up to so far the turned barring attached to the top of the signal post & post shorted 005 by Mozzer models, on Flickr once i have finished the coffee its on with the railing & disc Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
