RCAR6015
I am considering the purchase of an Iwata TR type airbrush to be used for weathering 4mm locos wgons and carriages. Does anyone have any feedback on this model of airbrush? My initial plan was to go for the type: TR1 which I believe has a 0.3mm nozel or should I go for a cheaper Iwata model. The TR range is quite expensive and I need to make the correct choice. I am an airbrush novice. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. I will also need to buy a compressor ( one with a tank ) at some stage in the future - again any comments as to which model / supplier to go for. thank you
Derek Russan
There are so many variables that it is very hard to make a global recommendation. The TR family are excellent products, but can be overkill for some. The trigger action is usually the deciding factor, some find it much easier to control than the top button. As toi needle size this will depend mainly on the largest thing you want to spray. I would recommend coming to our stand at a show and trying various brushes out. Same comments really for compressors. Derek
