RSS Fetcher Posted December 7, 2009 Share Posted December 7, 2009 Yesterday I did a quick conversion of a Hornby 08 to EM gauge. The whole job took about an hour using and Ultrascale conversion kit, and retaining the Hornby coupling rods. Most interesting result was this loco was a real 'screamer' in OO. I'd previously dissasembled the entire chassis, which isn't the easiest, to find the errant squeal, which manifested itself after 5 mins or so of running. I'd had limited success with this particular chass, having swapped the wheelsets it is now as quiet as the proverbial church mouse. Odd one that.
