Tim Hale
http://www.elitemodelsonline.co.uk/images/PAINTS/~RelatedImageGallery/~LightBox-78%20COCKPIT%20GREEN%2014ml.jpg Currently, I am using an acrylic Humbrol - Interior Cockpit Green (click above)- to replicate faded SR green. It is great for buildings but now I need to paint a loco and I do doubt its ability to withstand the handling suffered by locos to which buildings are not subject. I favour the use of ordinary Halford's rattle cans when used with their excellent primer on brass- any suggestions on a suitable pale green? I certainly do not want to use 'railway colours' as previous experience has shown the SR greens on offer to be far too verdant. Thank you Tim
Tim Hale
Two tins of Humbrol 78 enamel have been sourced at the FAA's Museum model show - I thought it had replaced by acrylic. Now the little Ruston can go to the ball. Tim
