Butler Henderson Posted March 6, 2012 Share Posted March 6, 2012 Heard today of a new body shell likely to come out from one of the smaller suppliers that will fit the Hornby Jinty chassis which I take to be the same as the one under the 2721, J52, J83 and railroad 08. Apparently there is a sprung and unsprung version of that chassis with the supplier suggesting the the unsprung one is better - a S&DJR Jinty chassis was promoted. Now there are two S&DJR Jinties - the individual one in the railroad range and a dcc one in a set. Anyone have either and is it sprung or not? Looking at the service sheets on Hornbys web site the 0-6-0s are all sprung apart from a dcc chassis that according to the service sheet (no 308b) that when published in Feb 2008 covered R1075 Mixed Goods set featuring a 08 and BR Jinty , R1077 GWR Western Pullman featuring a 2721 and R1097 East Coast Pullman featuring a J52.
