br2975
Apparently will soon be a thing of the past - a reliable source informs me they have been bought out by Colas, who intend to maintain their fleet there and continue with Pullman Rail's activities. . Cornish Triang Paul
This is good news as it means an expansion of services.
simon47603
Let's hope the first thing they do, is knock down that big shed that Pullman Rail built in the main yard! But good news none the less. Simon
Guest Phil
The old fuel point is soon to be extended by a 100 feet each end to allow more room to paint 4 car units. They also intend to put and extra paint shop inside the shed. The water is coming down as well as major track work is to be carried out as well . As to Colas buying Pullman Rail not sure ? Pullmans have be floating the idea for some time now as the owners aren't getting any younger and wish to spend their days on the Algarve :-). So long as the BRCW stays on these shores that'll be fine
br2975
As to Colas buying Pullman Rail not sure ? Pullmans have be floating the idea for some time now as the owners aren't getting any younger and wish to spend their days on the Algarve :-). I can only pass on the information as it was given to me. The old fuel point is soon to be extended by a 100 feet each end to allow more room to paint 4 car units. They also intend to put and extra paint shop inside the shed. The water is coming down as well as major track work is to be carried out as well . In addition Network Rail plan to demolish the footbridge "leading from de Croche Place to the shed" as it will limit the sighting of a proposed gantry on the SWML. It's been locked out of use for some 5-6 years due to its condition. The BT line to Pullman Rail is carried by the bridge, so alternative routing has to be found. .
