Hi All

Spent a few days in the Midland Hotel, Morecambe with the good lady wife & ventured off around the Lake District & off course a few visits to the railway:-)

My first port of call was Arnside hoping to see a pair of 37s on the 6K73, but the weather cloudied over, so I had an enjoyable time watching the trains from the fish & chip restaurant plus I took a few photos. I will definitely be back to Arnside when the evening light is better.

Enjoy :-)

Tim

Here's another one of Arnside, nearly 50 years ago - autumn 1963. One of my earliest railway photos and, I think, the only one I ever took there (fishing for flounders from the foot of the viaduct piers was a regular Sunday occupation back in those days).

An unidentified Metrovick Co-Bo heads for Barrow on a gloomy Sunday afternoon.
