RMweb Gold martin_wynne Posted March 20, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 20, 2012 Message from Jim at Data 1 Systems: Intermittent server outages this Saturday Mar. 24, as we are putting in a larger and upgraded power supply backup. Outages should be no longer than 10 minutes max per server, less than half the servers will be affected. We are also installing server 21, a new class of server with dual quad core processors and 24G of ram. This will possibly replace server 9 depending on demand. RMweb Gold martin_wynne Posted March 24, 2012 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted March 24, 2012 Just a reminder - latest message today from Jim: Just a reminder today is the day, I will be headed out to the datacenter in about an hour, I have a large list of maintenance items to take care of including installing another UPS to backup the backup. Never can be too safe. Installing server 21 also, it will go through a week of testing, if it does even half as good as it did under the bench here it will replace server 9. Server 9 is not gathering stats any more and instead of attempting a fix on a live server I'm going to replace it.
