Making window frames in N gauge

Recommended Posts

I hope the pics are self explanatory, but any questions please ask.

As others have found, photos can be cruel and expose previously unseen faults.I wouldn't have tried this if it meant trying to cut the frames by hand.

The reason the frames are glued to a label is because the actual window is fastened on the sticky side and so needs no glue to hold it in position.

As an aside to this I use an A4 160gsm sheet and a 210gsm sheet laminated together to give me medium card in N gauge models. The buttress base layers for the engine shed are four thicknesses glued together, with the other base layers on that sheet there are a total of 100 card oblongs to cut out.

Shove it through the Silhouette Cameo to cut them out.....ten minutes later I've got the hundred 370gsm pieces ready to glue together.
