juggy0_1
After wanting a garden railway (for the children of course) for ages i have finally got one OO line nailed down on the first 40ft which is on a embankment after a sweeping RH curve it will lead to another 80ft straight with a return loop all of which will be on raised pillars about 3ft high, just the right height for sitting in chair with cup of char watching the trains trundle past at eye level. I have used 20ft lengths of 9"x3" so after timber treatment they should last a good while. I intend to lay 2 OO lines going out and back starting and finishing at the embankment and a Gauge 1 line just running the complete length with no return. This weekend i'll be putting foundations in for the curve then i can start putting rest of beams in place and hoping to get at least 1 OO line laid the complete length.
