Western Star
Some of the Just Like The Real Thing coach kits are supplied with buck-eye couplings, typically kits of BR and LNER coaches. The buck-eye coupling is a collection of lost wax parts on one sprue, one of the cast parts is a draw-hook with a hole in the shank for fixing the hook to the underframe moulding (using either a self-tap screw or a nut/bolt). Some of the kits include a brass etch plate as per this photo (courtesy of Rob Pulham). These plates are missing from four of our kits and whilst I shall request some replacements from the factory on Tuesday next I have need of some in a shorter timescale than is likely from JLTRT. If you have any of these plates spare to your need and are willing to sell them to me then please let me know via the PM system. thank you, Graham
3 link
If Rob gives you the measurements, couldn't you knock them up from a piece of scrap etch ? Shouldn't take much time . Martyn.
