gridwatcher
Has anyone come across a fault on Loksound decoder whereby the lights come on and off as you increase speed steps? I have a v3.5 on a Heljan Duff that has done it in the past. As it is a preheadlight era 47 not really an issue. Now on a v4 with a Heritage DMU chip from Howes fitted to a Bachmann 105 the headlights are 'on and off' with odd and even speed steps respectively, as you increase the speed. Tail lights are a separate Lenz decoder on same address work perfectly of course? Is there a rational explanation as to why this is happening? Nigelcliffe
Check CV29 and the speed step setting in the command station. The behaviour is consistent with selecting 14 speed steps on the decoder and 28/128 in the command station, or visa-versa.
