RMweb Premium Martino Posted May 2, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 2, 2012 One of my guilty pleasures is to read RM Web on my iPad before retiring for the night. This is around 11pm CST in the USA. Unfortunately, that seems to be a time when RMWeb is down every night now! A great pity for us in the colonies. Andy Y
There is a nightly shut down / restart of the server to reduce the bloating of temporary files and cache which records show can last up to 30 minutes. Unfortunately there is no ideal time to do this as there's always someone on the site but it is timed to minimise the inconvenience.
edcayton
Cheers Andy, that makes sense. Is there a particular time/duration for this? What I get is the "sql server" thing again. Is it possible to put up a "closed for maintenance" notice so we know what's happening? Ed
Andy Y
Is it possible to put up a "closed for maintenance" notice so we know what's happening? Not unless I stay up all night to manually do it as it's done remotely from the US. The time it starts can depend on resources.
