Lochty no more
Topic title really says it all, does anybody know if there is an example on a preserved railway. Reason for asking The Kingdom of Fife RPS has the business end of an NBR signal arm awaiting repair and the thought struck me I dont think there is a distant arm on any of the preserved railways in Scotland. ForestPines
The Bo'ness & Kinneil has a pre-grouping fixed distant arm on the approach to Bo'ness, but I thought it was a Caledonian one, as Bo'ness station area was intended to have Caley-themed signalling when the scheme was designed. I also couldn't promise that the arm itself is original; wooden signal arms are both less likely to survive, and easier to replace, than the associated castings.
