cromptonnut
Can anyone with an O gauge Heljan 33 tell me whether it will go round a 4ft radius curve please? I'm aware the minimum recommended is 6ft (as per the Peco pointwork) but despite that things will often go round tighter curves. I'm still waiting for the model shop to get me one in so I can't try it myself but before I lay the curve I don't want to be setting myself up for a problem. It would be only slow speed and outside of the scenic section, so as not to worry about it looking a bit 'setrack'.
brian daniels
I am pretty sure they go round 4'6" but could not say about 4'.
cromptonnut
Thanks, my layout size is constrained by my room so I was wondering whether a 90 degree end into a fiddle yard might have worked by using 2 walls instead of end to end along one. brian daniels
Unless someone knows for sure I would hang fire on the track laying until you get it and do some trial and error testing. Patiance is a vertue, so they say!
cromptonnut
I'm still playing in XTrackCAD to see if I can find something that works for me to give me what I want in the space I have available - so definitely no rush
