Ydna
Hey, and welcome to my workbench thread. I'm really into scratch building, and although I've got a lot to learn I enjoy doing small projects. The first of these mini projects is a bicycle shelter... I bought this kit a while ago and have finally got round to building it. My main intention with this kit is to make it look old, tired, dirty and used. So, here is the quite well-known Ratio kit: Everything painted whilst still on the sprue - saves hassle: Roof painted silver using acrylics: Everything else painted Roof weathered using a several thin washes of matt black acrylic: Underside of the roof painted: First wash: Second Wash: More progress - I dabbed PVA around and used scatter as moss: Ready to be assembled: Finished product: Thanks for viewing, more stuff to come soon. RMweb Premium ELTEL Posted May 31, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 31, 2012 Possibly the best made up kit of the Wills bike rack I have seen, not so sure about the amount of greenery on the roof, fine scatter might have looked better made to look like moss. But great modelling Eltel
