Michanglais
Hi everyone, I'm considering getting a Bachmann Voyager (tilting flavour), but I'm a little concerned about the coupling issue. I've heard they can be a bit tricky and to top it off, I've only got a loop of Kato HO unitrack on a wooden floor at the moment, so lining up couplings, etc. could prove problematic. Does anyone think this is feasible? (without the unit becoming the first Virgin train to fly!) Cheers, Michael
Ian Fisher
Hi Michael, Tilting or none, its a simple enough plug in bar coupling. Not had any issue with any of my four. Ian
Bouncy Bouncy
Ditto above. Fairly easy to couple them all together, be it on straight track, or on a loop. Never had any issues with mine! Elliott
RMweb Premium stephennicholson Posted June 18, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 18, 2012 Personally, I find them trickier than normal couplers. I normally lay the units on their side and clip together and that works fine. I did have a go at trying to fit alternative powered connectors to convert my son's set to DCC using one chip, that proved unreliable however.
