RMweb Premium MrSimon Posted June 30, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 30, 2012 Hello Everybody! I decided to havea go at making tram track - no use in building a tram without anything to run it on The TLRS says to use code 100 rail and Terry Russel's Build a tramcar in O book says to make the groove by laying a second piece of rail in the web of the rail... which is what I did: I had some offcuts of PCB left from my N Gauge layout so I used them as sleepers - when I've done the second rail I'm going to investigate plaster/filler and build a street surface for it. I only did one rail like that because the groove looked a bit big to me - but I've been working in N gauge for 20 years so it might be fine - but I've got some spare bits of Peco finescale I could try to see if that makes a difference, but looking up close I think I need a rail with a smaller head to go sideways... or make the groove with plaster? Can anyone see if there's anything I've done wrong? Cheers Simon
