gronk the shunter
Heello everyone. I'm trying to put together a working timetable for my railway, and am getting confused on the destination letter. My passenger DMU's run (slowly) between Man VIc and Wigan, am I right in thinking it would be "J" for Manchester? and what letter would be used going to Wigan?, The freight workings are mostly trip workings aroud the Wigan area to/from collieries so would "T" be correct for these? Many thanks for all your help, Paul
40044
J was Man Vic area in those days. Wigan was Liverpool Division so 'F' would be appropriate for trains terminating at Wigan. T was indeed the code for revenue trips .L for engineers.
gronk the shunter
Thanks very much for that! My timetable is now complete. Now should I lose my domino headcodes on my diesels and display the headcodes? hmmm. 1975 was a good year after all, but how to make 4mm scale working blinds?
