SNCF stephen
Hello, I am starting out in DCC so I am not as experienced with the technology yet. I took the plunge and purchased a Zimo MX646 sound decoder for my N Gauge X73500 French Railcar and have installed it in the train. I tested it last night and I was very pleased with the sounds it produced but it does not want to move. The motor in the train works perfectly under DC and I am puzzled as to why it does not want to move off. I am using a gaugemaster prodigy advance controller and have tried programming the chip to get it to work but I do not want to fiddle around too much without knowing what I am doing. I am concerned that I may have programmed the acceleration and deceleration wrong. Have I missed something off or is there a technical problem? If you need any further information regarding the chip then I will pass it on but any help would be very gratefully received. Thanks Stephen EDIT - I have now resolved this issue. I had plugged the cable in upside down. Whoops!
