Mid-Hants Railway Autumn steam Gala.

Morning All,

 

I went to the Mid-Hants Gala yesterday and very good it was too. Lots of engines and some very welcome sunshine. Highly recommended if anyone is thinking of going over the weekend.

 

I took lots of pictures, but it's too nice today to be indoors slaving over a hot computer so editing them will have to wait until later. However, I have put half a dozen on Flickr just for starters and if anyone would like to see them, this is the first one. Clicking on it will enlarge it and take you to the others :

Good evening all,

 

Managed a few hours at The Watercress on Saturday. What an excellent event. Spent a short time at Ropley and Alresford but, as usual, thorough enjoyed time sitting in the sunshire at Medstead and Four Marks. What an evocation of a small country station this is! As usual, the event was 'made' by the friendly staff and their obvious pride and enthusiasm in 'their' railway. Thanks one and all!
