Hobby Posted September 9, 2012 Share Posted September 9, 2012 It's probably been mentioned before but just in case it hasn't, here's a little tip for when you go out photographing things for possible future models.. A couple of years ago I went over to the Czech Republic and took some photos of buildings for future models. Although I did take some measurements they proved not to be enough so this time I'm going better prepared! Firstly I bought a cheap plastic double sided folding ruler off ebay (I only travel with hand luggage so it had to be small and light!): http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400298637460?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_4376wt_952 The next job was to paint alternate red and white stripes on it marking out the 12" measurements. When I go abroad it will be placed by the items to be photographed so I have something to work on when working out the measurements for the models.
