Introducing "Gradsden Central", in a large garage, about 10m by 3.2m. Comprises a double single directional main lines, and a pair of goods lines that merge to a bi-directional track for a while Sketch plan below,, but a better size for looking at is at http://members.optusnet.com.au/~gradds55/Gradsden_Central.jpg The track is all laid, and working well, but lots of point motors etc still need wiring.. in time Scenery is started, especially in the Gradsden Central and Old Grasden Town areas. gradds Posted September 11, 2012 Author Share Posted September 11, 2012 Now some pictures of Old Gradsden progressing First a general view of the shopping centre.. This is removable in sections so chimney pots etc will get down later. All building have led lighting. The street lighting is incandecent. but none is wired up underneath yet. And a more recent addition, the church and library (cobbles not weathered yet) The pub has people enjoying life... As does the "Gentlemens Club" (the far right of the old shops) (moderator: you may want to pixelate) The Primary School has swings and a nice play area Behind the station is a tall clock tower Some more progress pics on different section of the layout.. next post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
gradds Posted September 11, 2012 Author Share Posted September 11, 2012 At the other end of the layout, the railways pass over Widdlepool Canal (scenery incomplete) And at the right end of Hamiltom Station, a bridge over where a weir and some locks will be. walking path under. Further to the right is Hamilton Industries, This will have a brick wall all the way around the front, with trees etc. The yard will have a crane to lift of the railways siding behind . (2 views) Also Widdlepool Station is under construction, with A4 "Golden Eagle" hauling the Master Cutler out of Widdlepool Tunnel. Next: a couple of techi bits.... gradds Posted September 11, 2012 Author Share Posted September 11, 2012 There are 2 main control panels, one for the Main lines. and one for the Goods Line The Main lines have 2 sections each, each witha controller. The goods lines have a controller each plus one for the bi-directional section. Point motors will each have their own capacitor discharge unit an control board indicators, requiring a bank of CD units that looks like this.. That's all for now.
