Ribble Steam Railway

A few pictures from this Sunday at the Ribble Steam Railway which is featuring locomotives which were made in Preston including the prototype Deltic on loan from the NRM.

 

English Electric 4WBE EE788 which was based at Stafford and built in Preston at Strand Road.

I was surprised (pleasantly) by how many interesting engines they had in their sheds when I visited some months back.

 

They do have a good mix. Behind the English Electric 4WBE EE788 you can make out 'Gasbag' one of the fireless locomotives that they have in the collection.
