dasatcopthorne
Hi Guys. I recently bought myself an eight pin sound chip for my Hornby Class 50 and was extremely surprised to find it had a 21pin socket inside. OK, don't bother to tell me I sould have checked!! I really did think that Hornby only ever used 8pin sockets. Does anyone have a definitive list on Hornby's 8 & 21pin locos please? (Diesels only that is). john beckett
I have had problems using 21 to 8 pin converters with sound decoders in the past.

Trains4U
Is it a loco that has had sound removed perhaps? In all cases that I have seen Hornby locos are 8-pin, unless factory fitted with sound, in which case they are 21 pin.
