Brassey
Hi All Does anyone have a drawing or the dimensions for a 6 wheel GWR V8 PBV which would have been built for the broad gauge but also convertible for NG? I believe it was 29' in length but do not know the NG wheel base but assume 19'. I have acquired a body etch from the Broad Gauge Society which includes both BG and NG ends and I intend to build it NG. Thanks in advance for any help. buffalo
Russell, Pictorial History of GW coaches vol 1 (dia 27) is a copy of an official diagram of V9. He notes that V8 differed only in having duckets and two, rather than one, seats in the guard's compartment. The wheelbase is given as 18'4" and the length 29'01/4".
