dripfedfred
Here is a newly converted Graham Farish Class 37. The loco has a modified pcb with Loksound V4 micro decoder and SW digital soundtrack. The pcb is still controlling the directional lights and the cab lights are hard wired in on spare functions for independent control at each end of the loco, shows the possibilities of Loksound in n gauge: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mhLcp3tlv8&list=UUh5CtuIrzCjU5F-wLUfHFdg&index=1&feature=plcp Douglas
justin1985
Sounds very good! Where did you hide all the kit?
dripfedfred
The socket is removed from the pcb and the decoder wired direct to the old socket terminals. The decoder then sits at one end with the cab detail removed which cant really be seen anyway. The speaker is a modified ESU 50326 which is not generally available in the uk yet, it is trimmed to fit at the other end. The decoder controls the existing directional lighting via the pcb and then DCC Concepts Nano Lights are hard wired to the available 3rd and 4rth functions on the decoder with the leds sitting above decoder at one end and speaker at the other. This gives independent cab light control on separate functions at each end ds
justin1985
Great idea, I'm impressed that you've been able to remove the cab detail and still fit cab lighting! Is the cl.47 in your avatar also sound fitted?
dripfedfred
The one in the avitar picture is a standard conversion I'm afraid, here is a video showing a 37 with cab lights as a night run Douglas
