Here are some shots from a somewhat quirky railfan shrine in California, an eccentric collection of items at Chemurgic, which is a wide spot in the road west of Turlock, CA.

One thing I've begun to learn from places like this (Larry's Truck and Electric is another) is that you don't have to copy something someone else has dreamed up -- like George Sellios's layout, for instance -- to build in intricate interest.
