Hi all.

 

Thanks for looking in. I'm building the Britannia Pacific model of this coach and would like to know what liveries it carried.

 

I have seen a picture of it in Blue and Grey, presumably from the, (late?), 80's and one of it in all over Blue from the early 70's. I think it was built in 1962, so presumably carried maroon possibly with Maroon ends or small Yellow panels?

 

Anywho, I've found a few pictures as above but wondered if anyone could put specific liveries to specific dates?

It was in maroon with full yellow ends still in December '72 - the HMRS have some very nice shots of it at Worcester in their archive. Links are...

Thanks Pixie.

 

I had seen the first one and had assumed it was in Rail Blue due to the full Yellow ends.

 

Having zoomed right in on the last one though, you can just make out the lining along the sides.

Thanks for those pictures Tim.

 

I think I'm definately going to do the Maroon livery style now. I'll not be using the high intensity headlamp or adding the "Railtrack" script on the side as these would not sit right with the 1960's style Maroon.

 

I've not checked the Fox lists yet, but is anyone aware of any departmental transfer sets for the Maroon livery?
