RMweb Premium jamie92208 Posted October 26, 2012 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 26, 2012 Or P4? Surely another letter would have to be used for a different wheel arrangement. R1? Though at this time of the morning I can't remember which of the letters were free in later LNER years I think there were 3 by the late 30's. EddieB
The only unused letter in the LNER scheme was "I" ("U", "V" and "W" not being part of the original scheme, but added as new locomotive designs were introduced).
