Torr Giffard LSWR 1951-71 Posted February 25, 2013 Author Share Posted February 25, 2013 Be aware that the four character headcode is only part of the TOPS description for a train e.g. 016Z39C524 describes a train starting in the Inverness area (01) as 6Z39 (inter-regional special service), C524 (individual to that particular service). Therefore, there is an individual train description for each service, however, you would not normally find two trains with the same four character headcode in the same area.
