Earl Bathurst
I have got one of these if i got 2 left hand points facing each other like in the crude diagram i have included can they be connected to 1 outlet or 2 seperate? Also What would be the maximun amount of points you could add to 1 of these if the points are at opposite ends of the layout? Thanks
RMweb Gold roundhouse Posted November 13, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 13, 2012 Needs to be 2 separate outlets. There is a setting where you can link the two spearate outlets but I havent used this.
Earl Bathurst
Thanks Trying to think do i use the switches on the seep point motors or should i use the Frog juicer? Problem is id need another frog juicer because ill need to sort 12 points out?
RMweb Gold roundhouse Posted November 13, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 13, 2012 SEEP switches not 100% reliable - some batches of them are Ok and others poor. Frog Juicers 100% reliable but Ok they cost more. You can get dual frog Juicers. Ian
Earl Bathurst
Can you from where? Can you run 2 frog juicers of the basic nce?
RMweb Gold roundhouse Posted November 13, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 13, 2012 I think I got mine from either Bromsgrove Models or Digitrains. I have one dual frog jiucer under Santa Barbara as the scenic boards have just two turnouts , one visible and one hidden. Cant answer re the NCE as I use Digitrax system. 250BOB
I got mine from Bromsgrove Models....but I know John is running down the business prior to retirement. I dont think there is any limit to the number of frog juicers you can run on a layout. You can try Coastal DCC http://www.coastaldc...ucts/tamvalley/
Suzie
Since you already have the Seep installed why not try it. If it does not work then try something else. The Seep has the the same three wires to the switch that would go to the frog juicer. I think replacing the Seep with a Peco PL10 and a PL15 switch will give better results if the Seep proves unreliable, or better still a slow motion motor with switching contacts. Frog Juicers are really for places that are hard to put switches and a solution of last resort. I would only consider using them on diamond crossings, points are easy to wire with a switch that changes with the point.
