We have just attained Charitable Trust status, with the intention of preserving, and eventually operating, at least one example of the English Electric units that operated on the Wellington suburban system over the past 74 years. We eventually intend to preserve examples of the Ganz Mavag sets that replaced them, as well as other vehicles that will assist us to operate them. We have identified an initial set to preserve and have secured a location to store the vehicles at. Rather than repeat details here, I have provided a link to our Facebook page.
