jhock
So I want to make some track maintenance equipment, specifically the trailers that you see being towed by the excavators and the like. What would I like to know is does any make small diameter wheels in 7mm scale that would be appropriate?
Kev_Lewis
How small do you want? Slaters go down to 2 foot diameter. They'd probably be the best place to look.
jhock
I think what I am after is a bit smaller than that, here is an example.
Guest jim s-w
Why not use N gauge wheels on new axles? Cheers Jim
jhock
I had just come to the same conclusion! That will teach me not to look beyond the obvious! Thanks Jim.
JPPledge
You could also try KB Scale at http://www.kbscale.com/wheels.html They have a range of wheels ostensibly for narrow gauge from 6 to 11.5 mm diameter for either 1.5 or 2 mm axles. Alternatively N-Brass at http://www.nbrasslocos.co.uk/o7loco.html do a range of wickham and platelayers trolleys which may be of interest. Hope this helps, Jonathan P.
