Guest 40-something
I think there is a socket in these units, take the bodyshell off and have a look
Guest 838rapid
The roof on these models is removable with a thin screw driver and a bit of care. The socket is located above the motor bogie,Simple plug in for a 8 pin chip..

Guest 40-something
Hi Swifty, Have a look at this link... http://www.rmweb.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=23829 shows the 156 stripped down, the DCC socket can be seen on top of the motor bogie.
