RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted January 1, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 1, 2013 Bit of a sudden leap from 1918 to 1975 methinks - missing out an awful lot in between. My first full time job was on the railway, starting in 1966, and i always found it odd that in other workplaces women weren't paid the same as men for doing the same job (and I still do). I went to work in an industry where it was quite normal to find women doing the same jobs as men in some grades and various types of work. Incidentally while there might not have been any female Management Trainees in 1975 I'm fairly sure that there had been a handful before then.
