D5233 (25083) - Livery information sought.

D5233 (later 25083) was one of a small number of boiler fitted Cl.25s.

On 20th December 1972 I saw it, paired with D5270 (later 25120), passing through the suburbs of Cardiff en-route to Radyr.

.

At this time both locos were allocated to the Nottingham Division 'D16'

 

Unfortunately I didn't record the livery carried by D5233 at that time, and don't have the relevant copies of the R.O. that contain this info..

Does anyone know when it received it's first coat of BR blue ?

(On transfer north of the border, it later received the Scottish Region variation of BR blue with number amidships).
