TheGhostofNigelGresley
I have just discovered a new way of blackening brass chain - never mind your Birchwood Casey Gun Blue, what you need to do is forget that you ordered the chain in the first place and then burn it along with the rest of the packaging. Leave overnight to fester, then suddenly realise at 6am what you've done and cut a strange figure in your dressing gown poking around in the ash of last nights fire to retrieve it. Works a treat, very happy with it........
Guest Isambarduk
Love it! Actually, it works quite well on items that you didn't want blackening, as well ... David
