Scott
I bought a Hornby 156 off ebay. When I tried to run it nothing happened. I noticed a wire dangling down in the bogie so unclipped the body to take a closer look and discovered that the two wires soldered to the side of it were detached. The rear pickup wire was snapped also. The three were re-soldered and it started running but only for a couple of feet before stopping. If I lift the front motor bogie off the track leaving the rear one on it will work no problem. I cant see any obvious issue with the front pick-ups. Has anyone came across a similar issue or have any suggestions for a fix? I have asked for my money back but so far I've heard nothing from the seller. I don't really want to send it back anyway but I may have no other choice. I have attached a pic of how it was when received. Thanks.
