RMweb Gold traction Posted January 18, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 18, 2013 Just a heads up folks, From the Scalescenes/face book web site "GWR Station and Goods shed now available. Based on Staverton station and goods shed, this kit really captures the essence of a typical GWR branchline. Scalescenes will donate £1 from every sale of this kit to the Staverton Preservation Group - South Devon Railway." More photos on Johns facebook page, you can also buy it from the web site under the Railscenes tab:- http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.464645106928336.107591.189623911097125&type=3 Cheers Ian
Chubber
Cor blimey! You youngsters don't know when you are well-off....when I was a lad we had to scratch-build our own Staverton provender store buildings using potato peelings and blunt pieces of string............... Nice one, John, the station building is 'purrfect', Doug
carl1962
All these great buildings John keeps producing...... just keep me changing my mind about what I should be modelling.

RMweb Premium PaternosterRow Posted January 22, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 22, 2013 Downloaded it the moment it went on line. Brilliant little kit and easy. Another superb offering from Scalescenes - keep 'em coming John!
Torn-on-the-platform
I looked at the pictures in the original post before reading the text and they are instantly recognisable. Brilliant. I've spent many happy hours at Staverton in the last few years! Sorely tempted.
RMweb Gold Rowsley17D Posted January 22, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 22, 2013 These look lovely kits, it's just a pity I am MR. How about something from the S&C or Bakewell, Hassop, Rowsley (all three were same design and there are one or two further south I think), Mr Wiffen, sir? I bet they would fly off the shelves, sorry web site.
cary hill
Does anyone know if the release of this kit is indicative of possible future forays into "non-generic" kits? I'm just curious, not complaining, because I think the generic nature of the Scalescenes range is one of it's strengths. As it happens this particular release is right area of the country for me. RMweb Gold Rowsley17D Posted January 24, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 24, 2013 Looking at John's proposed list of up and coming kits many are of the generic nature. Perhaps Staverton was a charitable commission.
RMweb Premium Welchester Posted January 24, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 24, 2013 Excellent kit. It's worth buying just for the GWR signs and period posters.
Metalhip
If I decide to download this station and store I'll have to put the barge boards under the roof slates the same as Chubber has done. Allan
