Basically my wife has problems with her achillies tendon, including some calcification, and hardly able to walk somedays. Treatment wise physio and steroid injections havn't worked, so the choice is surgery with at least a 2 year timescale before any sort of normality is restored. or Shockwave therapy which from the limited research we have done seems to be effective in around 78% of cases.
