hoffers
HiDoes anybody remember travelling or working on the Malton to Driffield Railway? If so I'd love to hear your stories and see any photos that are applicable to this railway line. The line closed in 1958 but 'The Yorkshire Wolds Railway' society has planning permission to re-open a small section of the line as a heritage railway which will include a visitors centre housed in a BR carriage which is now in situ.Last night an ex-railwayman called Stan who worked the line did a humourous and enjoyable presentation in Malton which was well attended. The YWR are always looking for new volunteers/members (£12 per year, I joined last night) so check out the website.http://www.yorkshirewoldsrailway.org.uk/PM if you can help with stories or pics.ThanksTony
