Chameleon
A friend of my mum has dug their old Hornby Dublo three rail set out of the attic. There is a goods train set with a standard 4 tank. There is also an A4, several coaches in maroon and blood n custard, a fair bit of track including some points and a couple of crossovers, a signal box and a few signals. Everything is in immaculate condition! And boxed. Even the old signal box hasn't got a ding or mark on it. It looks like it has almost never been played with. This is confirmed by mums friend. Apparently the kids never got to play with it.any ideas what this lot would be worth? Ill try and post some pics up shortly.
RMweb Premium Trainshed Terry Posted March 8, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 8, 2013 I would suggest that you contact the "Hornby Collectors Association" , would have thought that they would be the best people to contact for advise on prices.. http://www.hrca.net/ Terry
Il Grifone
The 'bible' for collector prices is here: (Your local library may have or be able to obtain a copy.) http://www.collectors-club-of-great-britain.co.uk/Model-Railways/Magazines/Ramsays-British-Model-Trains/_ch31_mg10 It should be borne in mind that these are the prices you would expect to buy at* (and at best an estimate). Items sold are unlikely to reach these levels, especially with common items (basically anything in BR livery from the 3 rail era (1953 - 1959). They refer to 'mint' condition and list boxed and unboxed.

Il Grifone
I've found this, but have no idea if it's any good. Does anyone know? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-Trains-Price-Guide-2nd-edition-incl-comprehensive-DUBLO-section-/160991153735?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item257bd20e47
hallmodelspares
These guides sometimes have prices that the item fetched in auction and updates on value. I've had both this one and an early years action man one. Both have some descriptions which are useful of items
