GE44 tonners/switching operations for modellers

I have re-posted this post from Julian Andrews on the Model Trains Interactive site for those who like 44-tonners switching

 

Found these excellent clips on Youtube. Enjoy! Lots of inspiration here for US-prototype modellers and for those of us who use the Bachman GE44 tonner as a small switcher on micro/Inglenook layouts:

 

1. For the Lapeer Industrial RR (Michigan) GE44, look at:

2. For the Arcade and Attica RR's GE65 in action (see MTI 104), have a look at:

 

 

3. I found some great footage of a green GE44 (owned by Nucor) working a steel mill in Seattle to, with an assortment of freight car types being used:

 

 

I'm sure there's plenty more on Youtube too but try these for starters.
