Mike Boucher
Hi folks, Last weekend, the O scale club I'm in held their annual show. I took some video of the three layouts on display with my Flip camera, and put them together in a 6 minute video. I uploaded it to YouTube yesterday. If you're so inclined, take a look. (BTW - I almost hesitate to call one a "layout", as its all of 2' x 4', including a loop of track and two turnouts!)
Prof Klyzlr
Dear Mike, Um, if it had scenery, track, and could run a train, it's valid for the term "layout".(See NMRA definitions, and the Carl Arendt Small/Micro Layout website for more info) :-) Happy Modelling,Aim to Improve,Prof Klyzlr
trisonic
Mike, I really like the second (0n30) layout - it's only the second 0n30 layout I've liked (the first being Verne Niner's of Tucson)!!! Best, Pete.
Mike Boucher
Mike, I really like the second (0n30) layout - it's only the second 0n30 layout I've liked (the first being Verne Niner's of Tucson)!!! Best, Pete. That group does fantastic work. Nicely detailed and weathered. They have a lot of modules, and much like N-trak, they setup what the people who can attend the show decide to bring. The only constant that I know if is the two ballon tracks at the end. They didn't have my favorite module, nor my favorite engine they have. They have a turntable module, where the turntable is supported on pilings above the water (and before anyone says that's not prototypical, the Boston, Revere Beach, and Lynn had one in East Boston, and narrow gauge to boot!). http://www.trainweb.org/nbrandn/photos/justin/justinturntable.JPG And one of their members kitbashed a Bachmann 2-6-0 into a 0-6-0 camelback with Wooten Firebox. http://www.trainweb.org/nbrandn/photos/locos/camelback2.JPG Mike
