Sr-Dixon
Hi all, I'm having a confusing time trying to decipher what signals to be using and where on my layout, It is based on a 1930's southern railway station of my own design, so therefore is not prototypical in any way, just making best use of the avaliable space! I have made a rough diagram of the area in question, featuring up and down mainlines, met with a scissor crossing on the left, entering a bay platform on the bottom, and goods depot above, leading to a small MPD. many thanks to all
RailWest
First question - what part of the Southern ? Ex-LSWR, LBSCR or SECR ? Second question - do you want semaphore signals, or are you assuming a location already re-signalled with colour-lights?
Sr-Dixon
Mainly planning for lswr, as going by most of my stock they're mainly ex-lswr anyway, and semaphore signals. Also I'm trying to think of what signals would come before the entrance/exit of the plan, as its an oval split scene layout, with just an up & down line running behind houses. RailWest
Any particular part of the L&SWR - eg London, suburban, further west or deepest Withered Arm?
Sr-Dixon
Tricky one that, the side not on the diagram is suburban but the diagram is more rural countryside
